Room

Overlooking the outdoor terrace and beyond to the Waikato River, the Dining Room comfortably accommodates up to 40 guests for group dining as well as a productive day of meetings. The space transitions easily to an entertainment venue for up to 50 guests with cocktail style service.

Wine Cellar

Cool and cavernous, the Wine Cellar is lined with some of the world’s most sought-after vintage plus a superb selection of premium New Zealand wines. The cellar is an intimate space for candlelit dining for up to 10 guests.

The Loft

Located upstairs in the main lodge, The Loft has been designed for flexibility and can accommodate multiple configurations tailored to event requirements. The spacious venue caters for 20 guests for a seated meeting or up to 50 for a cocktail function.

Day 1 Welcome

Arrive at Huka Lodge to a warm welcome. Make yourself at home, check in to your luxury suite and discover the lodge’s lounging areas, restaurant, gardens and outdoor facilities, all with a view to the rolling Waikato River.

Day 1 Evening

Meet your fellow guests and enjoy sunset drinks on the outdoor terrace overlooking the river or in The Orchard. Gather for a welcome dinner in the lodge restaurant, and relax by the fire in the lounge for a digestif.

Day 2 Morning

Head out to explore the 17-acres of established gardens and join the short riverside walk to the Huka Falls via the Thermal Spa Walk.

Day 2 Afternoon

Join local operator Chris Jolly on a scenic tour of Lake Taupō on a luxury cruiser, a wonderful way to take in views of the spectacular mountain-lined backdrop and explore secluded bays with optional trout fishing and gourmet lunch.

Day 2 Evening

Enjoy sunset drinks in the lounge or gather outside on the terrace to watch the light cast golden over the river, before a degustation dinner in the sumptuous surrounds of the main lodge or one of the unique dining locations dotted around the property.

Day 3 Morning

This morning, join an optional scenic heli flight, opt for a half-day round of golf or learn the patience and skill of traditional fly fishing for a chance to hook a prized trout.

Day 3 Afternoon

For a final group event, join a Maori cultural tour to discover the natural heritage and stories of the Taupō region. Connect with a member of the Ngati Tuwharetoa Māori tribe or take a kayak and paddle to the Ngatoroirangi Mine Bay Māori Rock Carvings on Lake Taupō.

Day 3 Farewell

Wrapping up three fabulous days of discovery in Taupō, bid farewell to colleagues or family and friends, with a host of wonderful memories to take on the journey home.
